Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Video Monitoring Technician to join our security team. This role involves actively monitoring surveillance cameras for multiple sites, identifying unusual or suspicious activity, and taking appropriate action to ensure site security. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to handle incidents professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor live video feeds to detect unauthorized activity or security breaches.

  • Page or communicate with on-site personnel to notify them of surveillance.

  • Contact law enforcement when necessary to report security concerns.

  • Maintain detailed reports of all movements and incidents observed during the shift.

  • Ensure all monitoring equipment is functioning properly.

  • Follow established security protocols and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in security, surveillance, or a related field is an asset.

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to remain focused and alert during long shifts.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working night shifts and weekends.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with video monitoring software.
